The Zeel Health network provides medically prescribed massage to patients with diagnosed conditions like arthritis, chronic back pain, and even psychological conditions like PTSD generalized anxiety disorder.
What Makes Zeel Health Different?
The primary difference with Zeel Health appointments is that these treatments are prescribed by a doctor and covered by the patient’s insurance. This classifies the appointment as a medical massage. However, there is no difference in the massage itself, and it requires no additional certifications.
So why join the Zeel Health network?
- Providers in the Zeel Health network will earn the same amount currently earned for in-home massages with Zeel—and continue to be paid weekly. Payments for medical massage appointments are made by our medical affiliate, ZP Medical Services.
- Patients typically have prescriptions for 6 or more medical massages, offering potential repeat income for each patient treated.
- No extra paperwork is required—Zeel Health handles it all, from insurance billing to secure SOAP notes (right in the Zeel Provider App)!
- Medical massage appointments are often scheduled further in advance, offering greater scheduling flexibility.
How Do You Get Started?
For providers who are already in the Zeel network, joining Zeel Health requires no new certifications—only a brief credentialing process.
First, you will need to accept the provider agreement with our medical affiliate, ZP Medical Services. Existing Zeel providers will find that this agreement is similar to the one accepted when joining the Zeel platform. This additional agreement simply allows you to also receive payments from a licensed medical practice.
You must provide your National Provider Identifier (NPI) number. If you don’t already have one, it’s easy (and free!) to acquire through the NPPES. Check out our blog post with a step-by-step walkthrough video of the application process.
You must authorize a background check if you haven’t previously done so with Zeel or if it’s been a year or more since your last one. This requirement is established by insurance companies.
